I was recently having lunch with Marjorie and a friend at the Old Ship Inn,
Sandgate, Folkstone, When the bill came there was a £1 donation at the
bottom, I had not seen the small folded card on the table (see below) but this
brought back memories of the early 50’s as this is where we started our
promotion the Folkstone to London Road Race from of which I was lead car
one year in my fathers 1939 Hillman Minks and lead motor bike the next..
