a handful of people alive now who will have
had any real memory of it, and with all the
trials and diversions of modern life to
distract us – I’m heartened that the Great
War is not so far in the past to be irrelevant
to modern people, even the young. I’ve seen
lots of thoughtful and poignant events, and
intelligent documentary in recent weeks. I
hope to see plenty of people there.

The clubs remembrance service is on 18th November and those wishing to
have lunch in the George afterwards to let us know so we can let the Landlord
have an approximate number.

We have requested the Pub opens at 9.00am for coffee, service is usually
10.30am.
