I received an e mail from back in May and below is extract
from it that I forgot I had.

On one of my trips around the internet I came across the following picture,
the one at the top of the story. It’s the road race at the 1956 Olympic Games
in Australia

This is a small docu about cycling at these games, with the road race starting
at about 8mins 20secs. It eventually shows Alan crossing the line to win the
bronze, then on the podium for the presentation of the team silver medal.
