After producing a super time (although just short of a
course record) on a windy morning Kevin Tye will once again hold the Fred
Peachey Memorial Trophy for the coming year - many congratulations. Kevin
re-joins a list of illustrious winners since the trophy was first awarded back
in 1969. Previous winners have included past National Champions, past
Competition Record holders, some of the top riders to have graced the world of
British time-trialling and a Tour de France yellow jersey holder!!
William Brassington will hold the Johnson Cup for the
coming year many congratulations William.
Producing another good time for the morning, Louise Mason
recorded a 1:02:46 which, again, was just short of the course record another
time maybe?
Thank you for entering the event. I hope you enjoyed
riding. May I thank the many De Laune members who so willingly turned out on the
day to assist in the running of the event. These were (in no particular order):
Geoff Sinnett, Mark Gidney, George Lewis, Len Brown, Alan Rowe, Brian
Shambrook, Alan Constable, Ann & Mike Hartley, John Kavanagh, Roy Savery,
Malc Adams, Brian Saxton, Val & Tony Peachey, Linda Adams, Pat Connor and
Claire Silvester. Special thanks are given to Kath and Paul Mepham of the V C
Elan for time-keeping the event once again.
Hope to see you all in again in 2014 we anticipate
running the event on the equivalent weekend.
